AMAZING RESTAURANT COUPON SITE
How would you like to pay $6 to get a $25 off purchase coupon for a
restaurant near you? Sound too good to be true?...well, it isn't, and there
are lots of deals like this one to be found on... http://www.restaurant.com
Restaurants put out coupons because they think the coupons will bring you
in, and once you come in, if you like the place, you'll be back & bring your
friends. So sometimes they take a loss on coupons to bring in potential
long term customers. At this website, you can purchase various coupons for
different restaurants in your area. When I did a search, I found that some
areas only had one restaurant participating, while others had whole pages of
restaurants. The coupons vary quite a bit in what they offer & rules, so be
sure to read the fine print before hitting that payment button. Some places
have you pay $3 for a $10 off coupon, some $10 for a $25 coupon, most do not
include alcohol products, some 10% or more off coupons restrict it to a
party of 4, some only allow you to use the coupons on weekdays. But
overall, you can still get some great deals. Most of the coupons are good
for a year, but it is still probably better to buy them just before you plan
to use them. Now, how did I get a $25 off coupon for $6? If you go to...
http://cobrand.restaurant.com/index.asp?prti=4043
Which is a www.wow-coupons.com page, then you can get an additional 40%
discount on the purchase. So, pay $6, get a $25 off coupon, or 40% off the
coupon purchase of your choice. Now this current WOW coupon may expire, so
keep their main page in your favorites for checking on later deals. POST
IT...in the yellow pages under "restaurants."

YOUR OWN FUNDRAISING SITE
This must be my issue for great links. Many charities are starting to have
their own fundraising sites where the participants can set up individual
pages and send the link to family/friends. They can also track their
fund-raising, post pictures, and add little notes. Another plus is that the
sites make it easy for people to donate by credit card or Pay Pal and get a
receipt to print out right away. Well, there's a new site for anyone doing
fund-raising at... http://www.firstgiving.org Many charities are starting to
use it for their participants, but the nice thing about it is that
individuals can also use it. So if you want to help support a particular
charity, you can do your own fundraising without waiting for the big
organizations to set an event up (as long as the charity is a U. S.
Tax-Exempt Organization). This is a great idea for charities, missions,
etc. There are usually a lot of family/friends who'd like to support
fund-raising efforts. Also this is a little easier than going door-to-door
and putting people on the spot; with an email link, they can contribute if
they like, but don't feel pressured if they'd prefer not to give at that
time. POST IT...with your fund-raising info.

RECIPE: POACHED SALMON WITH CUCUMBER DILL SAUCE from Teresa P. This would
be a nice one for a special Valentine's Dinner.

Ingredients
For the cucumber dill sauce:
1 cucumber, peeled, halved and seeded
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup low-fat sour cream
1 tablespoon dill
pinch cayenne pepper
white pepper to taste

For the salmon:
juice of 2 lemons
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning
4 salmon fillets, about 4 or 5 ounces each
1 cucumber, peeled, halved and seeded

Cooking Instructions
For the cucumber dill sauce:
1. Purée the cucumber with the salt in a blender or food processor.
2. Place the cucumber purée in a bowl and stir in the remaining ingredients.

For the salmon:
1. Place the lemon juice, salt, seasoning, and about 3 cups of water in a
10" pan. Add the salmon fillets and more water to cover the salmon if
necessary.
2. Turn the heat to medium and bring the liquid to a simmer. Remove the
fillets when they are just opaque, about 2 to 3 minutes depending on
thickness. Place the fillets in the refrigerator to cool. (The Make a Note
recommends heating any fish to 145 degrees F for 5 minutes, to make sure it
is cooked thoroughly).
3. Thinly slice the cucumber and divide the slices between 4 plates. Place
each chilled salmon fillet on top of the sliced cucumbers. Drizzle the sauce
on the salmon and around the plate.

BACK ISSUE TREASURE: February 16th, 2005 Issue
("State of Fear" Book/Global Warming, Personalized M & M's, Late
Night VCR Recording, "It Takes a Thief" & More)
With all the recent articles on "Global Warming," I thought it would be a
good idea to point you towards this back issue from a couple of years ago.
Check out the article on the "State of Fear" book; it will answer a lot of
global warming concerns, and hopefully, make you look a little more closely
at articles advocating panic. One thing that really bothers me is the
movement to silence or take away the accreditation of those who do NOT
believe in global warming. IF global warming is truly happening, then the
theory should be able to hold up to some scientific discourse, rather than
resorting to the name-calling of scientists on one side or the other.
Remember to read the book BEFORE sending me any negative emails.;-) Looking
for a special gift for someone?...check out the article on sending
personalized M & M's. Missed a favorite TV program?...it may not be too
late, try to find it using the info on our Late Night VCR Recording. Make
sure your house is safe by watching and implementing the great security
fixes found on "It Takes a Thief." All this and more in this great Back
Issue Treasure. To retrieve this back issue and many others, follow the
