Technique Tips

Right Diagonal Lunge Forward with Bicep Curl

This movement begins with a right diagonal lunge forward and both arms extended straight in front.  As your triceps kick back on the straight arm press, your body will move forward and you will need to use the back extensors to stablilize.  As you lunge back with the bicep curl, the momentum will take you back.  Therefore, you must use your abdominals to stabilize.  Always control the movement of the weight and watch for momentum.

Hold Reverse Sit Up Position with Torso Rotations 

Be sure both "sits bones" stay on the floor as the torso rotates to the right, center, and left.  This is part of the ab work necessary to control the gravitational forces that will pull you to the side.

Join Jazzercise founder and CEO Judi Sheppard Missett for an early morning Kick it to the Core by Jazzercise workout at the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association's (IHRSA) 26th Annual International Convention in San Francisco, California.  The class will be a slam-dunk workout using resistance balls and tubes to great music and innovative moves.  Focusing on cardio and core, this workout will kick it good!  Class starts at 7:35am.
