Though many hardwood products are still available in a range of species, more trim pieces are being made from PVC and polyurethane. In addition to offering the detail and workability of wood accents, these pieces are lighter than wood, resist rotting, and are often available in longer lengths than wood can accommodate. The TC-G is a new hidden deck fastener for pre-grooved decking materials, composites, and hardwoods. The fastener, made from .06-inch thick annealed 304 stainless steel, is designed to eliminate the need for conventional plastic biscuits currently used in deck building.
