Tell us a little about yourself:
Carolyn: I work for one of THE major beauty
supply companies in the world, and I love my job. I
love all animals, and have 3 cats, all of whom came
from rescue situations. Their names are Pagan,
Kira, & Kai.
My family is of Native American
descent. I am very proud of that heritage, and am
registered with a local Cherokee tribe. I collect
Native American and dichroic glass jewelry, and I
love searching the Internet for unusual/out
-of-the-ordinary perfume fragrances, which is how I
found B&I.
What is your favorite B&I product?
Carolyn: My favorite product from B&I is the
EDP spray, because the fragrance is concentrated and
lasts me all day. It is one of my pet peeves to
spend good money on perfume only to find that when I
apply it, it's so diluted that it either doesn't
last more than a few minutes, or no one can smell it
on me. One of my favorite compliments to get is,
"You smell so good!" The roll-ons run a close
second. Still concentrated, and you can apply them
EXACTLY where you want them.
What are your favorite scents?
Carolyn: I love the Pistachio and Pistachio Ice
Cream scents. I also had a great chocolate cherry scent
from you guys called Black Forest Cake. But my
favorite has to be Black Cat.
In fact, Carolyn has a great story about Black Cat
and its powers as an aphrodisiac!
Carolyn's Black Cat Story
As it says on your scent menu, licorice and pumpkin
scents are supposed to act as aphrodisiacs. Since I
sell beauty supplies and work with mostly women, I
didn't give that much thought, I just wanted to
enjoy the fragrance.
Well, there were a couple of men in the store at
different times that day that literally just latched
onto me. They got into my personal space,
practically rubbing shoulders with me, and even
after I answered their questions about our products
they kept trying to prolong the conversation. One
man even asked me to feel his hair so that I could
advise him better about which of our products he
should buy.
Afterwards, some of the girls at work commented
about it, so I told them about the perfume I was
wearing. We all found it very amusing. A couple of
them said, "Yeah, I can smell it on you every time
you walk past me, and it smells great!" One of them
said "I love that smell!!" Now they all want some of
it, too! And I love getting comments like that about
the fragrances that I wear!
That's why I keep telling you guys that Black Cat
needs to be permanently on the scent list, year
round. Today was proof enough to me that it really
does work as an aphrodisiac, and people can use a
little boost in the romance department at any time
of year. Even if that weren't true, it's just a
great fragrance, period.
Black Cat ---- it's not just for Halloween! We've
brought back Black Cat for Valentine's Day so stock
