2007 Detroit Auto Show Photo Gallery
  • 001 is at it again. This time he has penetrated the Hallowed Halls of Mercedes Benz and given you the inside scoop on the latest Mercedes Benz C-Class. Earlier in the week 001 gave you a sneak preview of the C-Class brochure and now 001 has traveled to Stuttgart to bring us the debut of the all important C-class for Mercedes.
  • Wow, The Lexus IS-F is really stirring the pot lately. Judging by the responses to the latest video brought to by the Spies , this has to be one of the most anticipated releases from Lexus ever. The German really need to keep the pressure on as it looks like Lexus has broken all of the stereotypical molds and released a genuine fire breathing monster here.
  • Audi is ditching the "Never Follow" slogan that they have used quite successfully throughout the rest of the world. It seems the US market doesn't respond to the subtle advertising that has served them elsewhere, so a more aggressive approach will be undertaken.
  • Toyota is seems had a skeleton in the closet so to speak. Well known for quality and dependability, Toyota has long been the benchmark for the industry but that sheen was tarnished this week by a federal court. Toyota agreed to a settlement that forced them to extend warranty on 7.5 Million engines for sludge issues even though factory maintenance was performed.
  • What will be the Top 10 Collector Cars of the Future?   Will the Lotus Elise you've been saving for fit the bill, or will the iconic Prius make it on the list. Trend setters are a sure bet but most of you had your own opinions.
  • 009 took his number crunching and puzzle piecing to a level for us this week. Taking the NHTSA safety recall database and breaking down the numbers gave us a look at who was the recall king of 2006 . Some of the numbers were disappointing to say the least, as a number of auto makers recalled more vehicles in 2006 than they actually produced. One of the shockers may have been that many of the Japanese makers known for safety and quality fell into this group as well.
