The Dreaded F

I am sad and distraught
I am beside myself
For I know that on my paper I will receive an "F"!

I turned my paper in too fast
I should have waited longer
And maybe by then
My brain would've been much stronger.

But I hurried to the teacher's desk
And placed my paper there
Walking away with heavy heart --
Oh life can be so unfair!

So, now I wait to see the score
That teacher gave to me
Praying hard with all my might
That I might get a "D"!

Here she comes and with a smile
(Oh how can she be so cruel)
She places the paper next to me
And oh my stars! I got a "B"!
