~~~ Fruit & Veggie Favorites
"Bumps on a Log" by AngelaTN
"I created this one day when my 4yo was tired of the same old
snacks. This was all I had on hand, but I was able to put it together
and give it a cutesy name so my daughter loved it! This would also
make a fun breakfast. You could even substitute raisins for the
blueberries. Personally, I am not sure about the blueberry/peanut
butter combo but hey, my daughter loves it and that's what counts!"
"Tropical Energy Smoothie" by Perfect Pixie
"This nutritious smoothie is a delicious way to receive
nutrients when you have limited time to prepare food. It is a healthy
dose of fruit combined with protein that will sustain and energize
you. It is good for breakfast or even an afternoon pick me up."
"Emerald Fruit Salad" by KittyKitty
"I just took the basc idea of fruit salad, switched up the
ingredients, to make it more exotic, and refreshing.And the colors of
the fruits together,look really beautiful. TIP: Star fruit is best
when it's fully ripe, look for plump yellow ones."
"Beet-Carrot-Apple Salad" by Geema
"Grating beets can admittedly be a messy business, but it's
worth it when you taste the delicious end result. Go ahead...get your
hands red!"
"Balsamic Honey Mustard Dressing" by Ailsa of New Zealand
"Low-fat and tastes good. Really good over a chicken and
avocado salad or just a plain green salad."
"Homemade Deli Croutons" by Chef Kiddle
"I use to work in an Italian deli up north. When I moved, the
owner let me take a bunch of her recipes. That was about 14 years
ago. I always loved munching on these at the deli. This recipe makes
a whole lot, so you will have to reduce the measurements."
