Happy New Year kids!

What a great year this has started off to be already!  Tristan let us sleep in, then we cleaned the whole house and even did a little yard work.  It was great!  Nothing like starting fresh.

I want to thank you all for a terrific holiday season at the shop.  This last month I have seen so many people that I haven't seen for a while.  Hopefully this won't happen only once a year and I'll be seeing more of you more often.  We are working on making some big changes and improvements to the shop this year.  With a bit of luck, divine guidance and the right assistance...you may be seeing a larger EBN by summer.  I'll keep you posted.

We did manage to get in a few new goodies before the year ended.  Here's what came in:

Tinctures - Adrenal Support - good for supporting adrenal system which is controls how well the immune system works - our adrenals are the first line of defense in supporting our body's ability to deal with stress and/or disease & Cold/Flu/Cough Elixir - Great for the aches and fever of cold and flu; also good for bronchitis; makes a wonderful cough syrup.

Books - Animal Energies, Cassandra Eason's Complete Book of Spells, Diane Stein's Guide To Goddess Craft, Jambalaya, Magic of the Celtic Gods & Goddesses, Pendulum Healing Handbook, Sevenfold Journey, Spiritual Cleansing, A Witch In The Family

Wall Calendars - Faerie Journals, Jessica Galbreath's 2 calendars

Tarot - Baroque Bohemian Cats deck.

Candles - White Sage candles, locally made.

I will have January's Calendar out tomorrow night, but here's what's going on this weekend:

Saturday, January 6, 11:00am – 6:00pm – Tarot Readings by Manbo Sky. In case you didn't get your reading for what's coming up this year, here's another chance.  As a daughter of the Vodou tradition Sky has walked firmly on her path, using the New Orleans Voodoo Tarot to guide others in their journeys. Her intuition and the help of "those who have come before" lend to the readings that couple with the deck drawn by Sallie Ann Glassman, whom she has special ties with. This gives a reading that mystifies and amazes those who wish to seek their guidance. That which is revealed to those who sit across the table can be revelations of the past, insights on the present, and enlightenment into the future. Readings are $15 for 15 minutes. Longer sessions are available upon request. Advance reservations are suggested.

Saturday, January 6, 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Creating Your Book of Shadows. Lee Ann was sick last week, so we rescheduled this class for January.  A Book of Shadows:  Well, every Witch should have one!  And yours can be one of the most useful tools, outside of yourself, that you will ever have in the craft.  Creating your Book of Shadows is an ongoing, creative process.  It's your personal compilation of information, invocations, rituals, spells, and magickal techniques with which you work, and which you find powerful, meaningful and effective.  But it's not about making it perfect, it's about making it magick!  In this class we will go over the basic components included in most Book of Shadows, keeping records, organizing and creating a Book of Shadows that is practical and individual to your needs.  My goal is to provide additional insight and ideas that will hopefully inspire and motivate you to create your own Book of Shadows or dust off the one you already have and get creative with it!  I will provide a simple outline of subjects to help you get started.  You might want to bring a pad of paper and pen to take notes.  Don't feel the need to run out and purchase a blank book of pages for this class, as you may decide on something a little different later.  Taught by Lee Ann. ($15 per person)

Sunday, January 7, 1:00pm - 5:00pm – Tarot Readings by Kharma. Kharma takes the ancient art of tarot cards and adds a modern twist. Not wanting to be another "fortune teller," Kharma adds an extra element to her readings. Part psychic & medium, and part counselor her readings may not be what you want to hear, but they will be exactly what you need to know. She is very gifted and very personable, but most of all very honest in her work. 15 minute readings are $15. Longer readings are available. Advance reservations are suggested.

Sunday, January 7, 1:00pm - 5:00pm – Spiritual Mission Statement workshop.  Have you ever wondered what direction your spiritual path would take in 3 months, 1 year, and 5 years? Of course with every new step your path can wind and wander, but it is good to layout the objective we plan to take. This course of study is to give a thought process to your "Spiritual Mission Statement."
Whether you are a solitaire or in a coven/, Diaspora, Wiccan, or not found your path at all, this method helps you determine where your intentions lie within yourself and the community.  Come prepared to answer hard questions about your spirituality, you do not have to reveal them to anyone but yourself. Honesty is a plus.  Taught by Manbo Sky.

We will be offering a Reiki I Certification class (taught by Arlene Bailey, student of Margo Ross) toward the end of January.  Be sure to check your next email from EBN for all the really fabulous classes and events happening in January.

Blessings,

Tavane
