Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
Requested: Chick-Fil-A
From: Mary Downing
I am looking for a clone of the Chick-Fil-A chicken. Thanks
Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
3 cups Peanut oil
1 egg
1-cup milk
1-cup flour
2 A1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar
A1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons salt
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts- halved
4 plain hamburger buns
2 tablespoons melted butter
8 dill pickle slices
Heat the peanut oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat to about 400
degrees.(Make sure the pressure cooker can be used as a fryer. This can be
dangerous if it is not. If not, use a deep fryer for roughly double the
specified cooking time, until the chicken is golden brown.)
In a small bowl, beat the egg and stir in the milk.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, pepper and salt.
Dip each piece of chicken in the milk until fully moistened.
Roll the chicken in the flour mixture until completely coated.
Drop all 4 chicken pieces into the hot oil and close the pressure cooker. When
steam starts shooting thru the pressure release, set the timer for 3 A1/2
minutes.
While the chicken is cooking, spread a coating of melted butter on the face of
each bun.
When the chicken is done, remove from oil and rain. Place 2 pickles on each
bottom bun, add a chicken breast, then the top bun.
