Dear Friend,
I want you to give yourself a big pat on the back. Go on, you deserve it. Why? Because you are making a difference for the health of our p***t as one of the 235,000 Nature Challenge members.
For that, you deserve a big thank you! You have taken the challenge to make small, but effective changes in your daily life to help conserve nature. And for this, I am grateful. It means a lot to me, and to Canada.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if every Canadian took the challenge? Just think of the difference it would make! Every effort to conserve nature—no matter how small—really helps. It’s amazing what can happen when people work together!
So I’m asking you today to keep up the good work. And to consider taking your commitment one step further by making a gift to the David Suzuki Foundation. Our critical work is only possible thanks to our generous supporters.
Thanks to our donors, the David Suzuki Foundation has won a lot of victories for the environment this year:
- We’ve brought the Nature Challenge to the classroom! Many elementary schools throughout B.C. are now offering kids vital environmental education.
- We’ve published a series of reports that link health issues to the environment and compare Canada’s environmental performance to other industrialized countries. And surprisingly, Canada isn’t doing so well. Australia, the U.S., and the European Union all consistently do better than we do!
- We launched the first national Sustainable Seafood program. Now when you shop for dinner, you can ensure you are making the most environmentally responsible seafood choices.
- We’ve done an intensive comparison of each province’s climate change plans, reporting on the best and the worst and suggesting improvements for each.
It is also because of the generosity of our donors that we’re able to send you the informative Nature Challenge newsletter each month!
The Foundation is hard at work protecting our environment for future generations. I hope you’ll join us by making a donation—every dollar helps!
People like you are going to be the difference our p***t needs—so again, thank you! Have a healthy and happy holiday!
Sincerely,
P.S. Watch for the special holiday Nature Challenge newsletter coming next week to in an inbox near you!
