MURDER MYSTERY BLUES originated in London at the Warehouse Theater,Croydon
where it played to sold-out houses and wide critical acclaim. The Sunday Times
of London called it 'an ideal evening for thinking jokers and joking
thinkers!' The Guardian declared it 'engaging in its fanciful
absurdism....Clarke gets the atmosphere just right, offering a jazzy, smoky
evocation of acity that seems to exist permanently in the witching hour and is
peopled by Mafiosi, nervous rabbis, peroxide blondes, poker players,
gangsters' molls and assorted lowlife.' And Time Out London called it 'fun and
Python-esque!'
The cast of six features acclaimed singer Mary Fahl, former lead singer of the
critically acclaimed band October Project, who recently released her first
solo album on Sony Classical and Andromeda Turre, who iscurrently performing
with JC Hopkins Biggish Band and toured with Ray Charles. Therest of the cast,
Stephanie Dodd, Jeff Ganz, Alex Haven and Mike Murray, arealso accomplished
musicians who play the sultry jazz score.
