On November 30, Steve Ballmer delivered the Business Value launch keynote address, speaking to a packed room of industry press and analysts in New York City. Microsoft showed how Windows Vista delivers a security-enhanced platform for partners that helps connect mobile and remote users to the people, information, and applications that are important to their jobs. In addition, Windows Vista provides a platform for partners that can help dramatically reduce the time, complexity, and cost of computer deployment, maintenance, and security. Minnesota-based WSU, which is ranked among U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges, has distributed an additional 4,000 Gateway Tablet PCs to its student body. As this initiative grows to 8,000 Tablet PCs, hundreds of WSU computers will be loaded with DyKnow Vision and Monitor software, the intent being to expand the use of DyKnow software over a multi-year period.

ScheduleIt, a leading computer application for resource scheduling, goes one step further in the latest release with full support for the new mobile PC platform and full remote synchronization. The remote synchronization allows remote users, with ScheduleIt on their Tablet PCs, to use the software as if they were connected to the main server computer or the office. Any changes they make, or other users make, are all synchronized with a main project and sent back to the remote user, so no matter where they are they always have an up-to-date schedule.
