Howdy,
First off, I have to thank all of you for your incredible
generosity. Our anonymous family in need did collect enough money
to pay their rent and will not be evicted. Thank you for
contributing your money, wares and positive energies and good
thoughts. All donations, all of kinds, were invaluable and truly
saved a family's life.
We are open on Mondays until Dec. 25, 11am -
6pm.
Now, it may be December, you know the "holiday"
month, but we've got a full calendar. I hope you'll have time to
squeeze in a little time for yourself amidst all the parties and
gatherings this month. EBN is turning 4 this month and we're having
our annual Open House on the 23rd to celebrate. I hope you can stop

Saturday, December 2, 11:00am 6:00pm Tarot Readings by
Kathe. Kathe is a professional psychic with 18 years
experience. She reads the Tarot, primarily the Motherpeace Deck,
practices psychometry, and channels - aka talks to dead people. She
is Medical Intuitive and certified Acupressurist trained at the
Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, California in Traditional Chinese
Medicine. Kathe will begin the session using psychometry by holding an
object such as a piece of your jewelry or your keys - metal objects are
best - at the onset of the reading to tune into your energy. Information
about your physical health and the physical health of those close to you
is most likely to come through at this time. Kathe will then use the
Motherpeace Tarot Deck to complete your reading. The information Kathe
receives is wide-ranging and can cover a vast array of subjects. Symbol
is the language of Spirit, and as a Shamanic practitioner and channeler
Kathe has learned to interpret the symbols she intuits to elucidate her
readings for her clients. NOTE: It is not unusual for spontaneous
channelings to occur during a reading with Kathe. Kathe is
currently undergoing screening for inclusion in the Veritas Research
Program sponsored by the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and
Health in the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona. This
is the program that has extensively evaluated and validated such well

Earrings. Opal Moon artist Tamara Brown will assist you in
choosing the right stones for the perfect pair of earrings for you or
someone special. Tamara will have a large collection of gemstone
beads to which she will add her own sterling silver trimmings and flair.

Tea. Come immerse yourself in the holiday spirit. State
Street's Wassail Tea is a holiday tradition! Merchants have all the
holiday trimmings up, their best merchandise out and will be providing
free refreshments for browsers and shoppers. Minstrels wander the
street, their voices and instruments filling the air with joy and
tranquility. EBN will be open late for this event.
Sunday, December 3, 1:00pm - 5:00pm Tarot Readings by Kharma.
Kharma takes the ancient art of tarot cards and adds a modern twist.
Not wanting to be another "fortune teller," Kharma adds an
extra element to her readings. Part psychic & medium, and part
counselor her readings may not be what you want to hear, but they will be
exactly what you need to know. She is very gifted and very personable,
but most of all very honest in her work. 15 minute readings are $15.

Sunday, December 3, 1:00pm 5:00pm Ceroscopy Readings by Shamira.
Shamira is a Wiccan High Priestess and an intuitive reader. She
learned Ceroscopy from her Grandmother and she became ordained as a
Priestess in her Grandmothers coven after her Grandmother passed
away. Ceroscopy is an ancient Russian/Slavic form of
divination. Wax is melted and then poured into water. The
shapes that form are then interpreted. Shamira currently runs a
coven in the Triad area and teaches classes on various subjects from
degree initiations to Ceroscopy. Readings are $15 for 15 minutes.

Saturday, December 9, 12:00pm - 2:00pm Pantheon Class. Greek,
Roman, Indian, Native American
there are dozens of different pantheons
to pray to or work with magickally. This monthly course will cover
the major Gods and Goddess of a particular pantheon. We will
discuss who these deities are, what they represent, why one would pray to
each of these deities, and how use each deity in magickal workings.
Each course is individual, so you do not need to attend all
classes. For the month of December, we will look at the Middle
Eastern Pantheon. Taught by Shamira. Bring note-taking supplies.

Saturday, December 9, 2:00pm 3:00pm Astrology 101. How to
use Astrology as a Spiritual discipline to Empower your Life. In this
class we will work off our Natal/Birth Charts, our Current/Progressed
Charts and the Transits to both these charts. We will study where the New
and Full Moons activate our charts for the purpose of fast-forwarding our
lives. Because the study of Astrology primarily involves the study of the
Luminaries (the Sun and the Moon) this is the fastest way to access the

Saturday, December 9, 3:30pm 5:30pm Kitchen Alchemy: Elixirs,
Cordials, Honeys, Vinegars and Herbal Wines. Taught by herbalist
Arlene Bailey. Learn to make specialty herbal blends that are
both functional and beautiful! These are delicious healing tonics
and make wonderful holiday or special occasion gifts as well as
nourishing remedies. Some of the things we will make are
Ginger Honey and then turn that into Ginger Honey
Elixir, Strong Bones Vinegar, Shata-Cocoa-Vari (a decadent

Sunday, December 10, 1:00pm - 5:00pm Tarot Readings by Lee Ann. Lee
Ann has been working with the Tarot for more than ten years but still
considers herself a student, as she feels there is always something new
to learn and explore regarding what she refers to as an incredible, never
ending book of wisdom. Her passion for the Tarot has lead her down
many paths over the years, including the study of Paganism, Goddess
worship, alchemy, astrology, symbolism, numerology, the Qabalah.
Based on her experience, she reads from a place of honest intuition and
insight given by the cards. She only reads what she sees, leaving
no room for dramatic ad-libbing or nonsense. She uses several
decks, which include the Universal Waite deck, the Nigel Jackson deck,
and her all time favorite, the Aleister Crowley deck. Readings are

and Spiritual Meditation. Easy exercises for self healing,
grounding, and connecting with Spirit. These meditative states will help
connect with Spirit and enhance your journey to higher enlightenment
within yourself and draw you closer with Spirit. We will cover everything
from healing and grounding exercises to advanced exercises that allow you
to place yourself into trance states. Please bring a pillow and towel or

Saturday, December 16, 11:00am 6:00pm - Tarot Readings with
Maricarmen. Maricarmen has been on the Enlightenment path for
seven years, developing her intuition and learning ways to lift the
spirit. She was introduced to Tarot as a child and has been reading for
others for three years. Having experienced several unpleasant readings
herself has encouraged her to combine her counselor training with her
psychic gift. Using the Robin Wood or the Morgan Greer Tarot decks she
will assist you in changing negative and uncertain situations into happy,
positive experiences. Also a Reiki Master energy worker, she can link

Saturday, December 16, 1:00 3:00pm Tarot For Beginners, Class #1.
This workshop is for those who would like to use the tarot as a
divination tool to read for themselves or others. This workshop will
provide practical and clear information about the tarot, its structure
and basic meanings of the cards. We will review how to store and care for
your cards, best ways to prepare for a reading and several basic layouts.
It is the goal of this workshop to help you develop a personal
relationship with the cards adding your own layers of meanings to the
standard interpretations, so plan on getting in touch with your intuitive
side. Requirements: a 1" or larger binder with loose leaf paper,
writing instruments, and a tarot deck based on the Rider-Waite deck.
Check with instructor before class if you have a question about your
deck. Recommended reading: "Tarot for Beginners." This is a ten
week class, divided into two parts. Part I, dealing mainly with the
Major Arcana and the Fool's Journey and Part II, dealing with the four
different suites, their elements and basic numerology. The total
cost of the ten week class is $150.00, which can either be paid all at
once or split up and paid at the time of reservation and then at the
beginning of 2nd 5 week period. There is a 4 person minimum for
this class to take place. Class will meet once a week for two

Saturday, December 16, 3:00 5:00pm Monthly Reiki Healing
Circle. Open to non-Reiki and Reiki practitioners of all levels.
Everyone is welcome to come and experience this fun, casual, and relaxing
healing circle where everyone treats and is treated. Experience the
positive healing energy that comes from good intentions. Led by two Reiki
masters, this is a great opportunity to be treated, learn about Reiki and
energy healing, and to have a chance to practice your skills. Please be
courteous to those receiving healing and refrain from wearing perfumes,

Saturday, December 16, 3:00pm 6:00pm - Candle Magick Workshop.
You can make candle magick complicated, if you like- but why? True,
there are many factors that can play into the art of candle magick but
spells don't have to be complex or difficult to be effective. In
fact, the simplest spells are usually the most effective. One of the
simplest of magickal arts is candle magick. It is simple because it
employs little ritual and few ceremonial artifacts. To begin with
all you really need is a single candle, matches and your own personal
power. In this workshop we will go over a few basic things you'll
need to know when using candle magick, as well as ways to enhance your
candle magick in the future. The first part of the class will be
instructional and the second part will be actual spell casting with
candles. Materials will be provided by instructor (accept for
writing material if you plan on taking notes). The cost of this
three hour workshop is $20.00. Sign up in advance, as there will
have to be at least four people attending in order for the workshop to

Saturday, December 23, 12:00pm - 6:00pm Henna by Tamara. Come
experience the magical art of Henna Tattoos - a tradition that has been
around for over 5000 years. Tamara Brown of Opal Moon Designs has been a
practicing henna artist for 2 years, and has explored the medium for 8.
She has always been an 'Artist of Sorts', with an interest that began in
early childhood. Tamara is available to decorate what you are willing to
bare (within reason!!) with prices starting at $5. The price goes up
according to the size and complexity of the tattoo. You can bring your
own design ideas or let Tam create your personal design freehand. A Henna
tattoo can be just for fun, a practice run for the real thing or a
powerful addition to a ritual, rite of passage or intention work. Tam
uses 100% all natural henna (NO 'black henna') with safe dye-enhancers
like coffee, tamarind, lime juice and essential oils. The process of
design, application, drying and wrapping takes a minimum of 30-45
minutes, so be sure to allow enough time to get your tattoo. Tattoos are
done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Learn how to pick crystals/minerals (or have them pick you); new
types of configurations and how to use them (Faden, growth interference);
how to cleanse stones; various ways of using them for healing and growth;
how to do a chakra layout; how to open a chakra with a laser wand; basic
instructions for making elixers. Bring your own treasures to play
with and/or identify. Class taught by Marie Andersen-Whitehurst,
ACSW LCSW ATPtm who is one of 33 people Melody trained to
carry on her work in the United States. Marie has also studied with
JaneAnn Dow, Doreen Virtue, Brian Weiss. Marie is also the
co-owner(with her wonderful husband, Mac) of Earth Songs, 2106 Patterson
Street, Greensboro. The goal at Earth Songs is to have 80% of what
Melody writes about, so they have quite a collection, including some

As a daughter of the Vodou tradition Sky has walked firmly on her
path, using the New Orleans Voodoo Tarot to guide others in their
journeys. Her intuition and the help of "those who have come
before" lend to the readings that couple with the deck drawn by
Sallie Ann Glassman, whom she has special ties with. This gives a reading
that mystifies and amazes those who wish to seek their guidance. That
which is revealed to those who sit across the table can be revelations of
the past, insights on the present, and enlightenment into the future.

Sunday, December 31, 2:00pm 4:00pm Creating Your Book of Shadows.
A Book of Shadows: Well, every Witch should have one! And
yours can be one of the most useful tools, outside of yourself, that you
will ever have in the craft. Creating your Book of Shadows is an
ongoing, creative process. It's your personal compilation of
information, invocations, rituals, spells, and magickal techniques with
which you work, and which you find powerful, meaningful and
effective. But it's not about making it perfect, it's about making
it magick! In this class we will go over the basic components
included in most Book of Shadows, keeping records, organizing and
creating a Book of Shadows that is practical and individual to your
needs. My goal is to provide additional insight and ideas that will
hopefully inspire and motivate you to create your own Book of Shadows or
dust off the one you already have and get creative with it! I will
provide a simple outline of subjects to help you get started. You
might want to bring a pad of paper and pen to take notes. Don't
feel the need to run out and purchase a blank book of pages for this
class, as you may decide on something a little different later.
