| Buying A Television - What You Need To Know We all know how to buy a television. Just open the newspaper, find the best price and go get one. In my days as a salesperson, I have seen this a lot; a customer comes in to the store, AD in hand, and says "wrap it up". However, the best price may not be the "best deal". Here are some buying tips that are often times overlooked, but very important in the purchase of a television, whether it be a 20-inch tube set, large screen projection TV, or the latest high definition Flat Panel LCD or Plasma Television. To find out more, check out two important resource articles: Buying A Television - What You Need To Know by Robert Silva, About.com Guide for Home Theater and Budgeting For A Television by Matt Torres, About.com Guide for Video. |

For a closer look at and explanation of the rear connection panel of a typical HDTV, check out my HDTV Connection Photo Page. |

| Top Picks - 20-Inch Analog Flat Tube Televisions from your Home Theater Guide |
| The standard 20-inch television is often just the right size for a second room, office, or small apartment. Today's flat tube 20-inch televisions offer great performance, as well as the latest input options for DVD players, and outputs for connection to a home theater system. The advantages of a flat tube include less glare from ambient room light, less shape distortion, and a wider viewing angle. Check out some of my current favorites. |
