Dear ***,
You know about the
South Dakota total ban on abortion, passed by the state
legislature and signed into law by Governor Mike Rounds in
March. What you might not know is that it is merely the
beginning of a concerted effort by several well-funded,
right-wing organizations to roll back reproductive rights all
over the country.
On November 7, South Dakota voters have
the chance to overturn the ban. And we're going to send a text
message to our members as soon as the results are in. (With all
that's happening that night, we don't want you to miss this
important info.)

The South Dakota ban — and the
parallel legislation that it helped inspire in other states
— was a sharp wake-up call for everyone in the
reproductive rights movement. We asked our members to go on the
offensive in their states — and you responded
overwhelmingly. You contacted your governors, you sent letters
to the editors of your local newspapers, you hosted potlucks,
you stood up for the women of South Dakota. And all of that hard
work has really paid off.
Your efforts are changing the
political climate all across the country, and especially in the
heartland where we've delivered our message loud and clear,
directly taking on right-wing anti-choice groups.

Please spread the word about our South
Dakota election results text message to all your friends and
family.
Once again, thanks for all you've done, and
please keep it up because we've got some tough fights coming up,
and big opportunities for victory.
Sincerely,

Cecile
