[1] Water Disinfection Markets Worldwide increase faster....new study
The markets for water disinfection, water purification and securing
water quality with other methods is growing from 22 billion US
Dollar in 2005 worldwide between 8 and 25 percent depending
on the sector, branch and country. Water Disinfection is a key
problem in the 21 century. The costs and prices of water in the
future will largely depend on the disinfection necessity and the
applied technologies.

[2] New technology for groundwater collection
OTT Hydrometry will feature its new groundwater data collection
equipment at WWEM 2006, on stand 57. The system provides an
intelligent telemetry solution for the real-time collection of
borehole water information. Recent advances in telecommunications mean
that accurate water level data can not only be collected continuously,
but can also be transmitted cost-effectively to a central database or
control system. If visiting then be sure to attend "Integrated
Groundwater Monitoring - A Practical Solution" A presentation
in Room 4 from 12.00 to 12.30 on 2 November.

[3] Partech promotes its MCERTS credentials at WWEM
Partech is the first manufacturer to gain MCERTS certification for its
Turbidity Monitor for effluent discharge installations. "This
certification provides further weight to our claim to have the best
range of Continuous Water Monitors for use in the water industry."
says Sales and Marketing Director Angus Fosten. Partech will also be
displaying its Dissolved Oxygen monitors. Acclaimed by a
representative from a major UK water company as: "A very reliable unit
in my view and the best all round unit for DO that I have used. This
instrument has been operating in three different sites and has out
lasted all the other makes." Visit Partech at Stand 54.

[4] Pulsar: non-contacting measurement dedicated to water and waste
Pulsar Process Measurement is the leading British manufacturer of
non-contacting ultrasonic level and flow measurement and control
instruments for water and waste water applications, both in the
Utilities and in Industry. At WWEM Pulsar will showcase the latest
range of equipment, including systems for open channel flow
measurement with better than +/- 1mm measurement of head (in use in
800 MCERT's installations), level control of the tightest sumps and
tanks up to 40m depth, low power CSO monitoring and reliable,
effective sludge blanket detection. Visit Pulsar at Stand 53.

[5] New addition to the KATflow range launched by Katronic at WWEM
Katronic Technologies invites you to visit them at Stand No. 96 to see
a live demonstration of the new KATflow 120 Fixed Flowmeter at this
years Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring Exhibition (WWEM)
held in Telford on the 1 & 2 of November. This dual mode flowmeter is
suitable for connection to Zone 1 or 2 hazardous area sensors and
can be used on all commonly used pipe materials with pipe
diameters from 6mm - 6.5m.

[6] Endress+Hauser go digital at WWEM
Join Endress+Hauser on stand 73 at WWEM 2006 for your chance to
discover the benefits of going digital with the Liquiline M
transmitter and Memosens digital pH sensor range. Combined with the
Memosens digital pH sensor, Liquiline automatically transports
sensor-specific data between sensor and transmitter, guaranteeing
interference-free measuring signals and simplifying process measuring
technology. Critical information is stored in the sensor head for
simple commissioning and maintenance.

[7] Magnetic flowmeters added to Bronkhorst flow range
This year at the WWEM Exhibition, low flow (<1 - 3000 LPH) mag-flow
meters/controllers have been added to the Bronkhorst portfolio, which
also includes thermal and Coriolis mass flowmeters and controllers for
both liquids and gases. Common applications for Bronkhorst equipment
include chemical dosing, analyser stream flow and pressure control,
analyser validation systems and low flow water monitoring. Specialised
equipment also available includes vacuum/pressure controllers and
vapour generation systems, frequently used for aeration, gas injection
and calibration gas or vapour generation. Come and see us on Stand 98

[8] Non-metallic gear pumps resist corrosives
Combining a simple, no-nonsense design with the toughest, non-metallic
corrosion resistant materials results in an outstanding range of
industrial gear pumps. Pulsafeeder Eclipse pumps withstand hazardous
chemicals and high temperatures. Also, as they have no mechanical
seals, the potential for leakage is eliminated. Eclipse series pumps
deliver flows up to 4.5m3/hr at pressures up to 10bar, withstand
temperatures up to 150C and can handle liquids with viscosities up to
10,000 CPS. Need to pump acids, solvents, caustics, polymers,
bleaches, dyes or inks? Take a look at a pump that's designed to meet
the challenge.

[9] Digital tilt switch controls liquid levels
Inertial Aerosystems announce the "IRIS" multichannel tilt switch
which can be used to control up to 8 external devices. A precise
biaxial inclinometer provides full-scale angles of 25 degrees or 50
degrees, with a resolution of .01 degree. The individual threshold
angles are user programmable, using a PC, and outputs are TTL levels.
The status of each of the 8 outputs can be monitored via RS232 or
RS485. Typical applications involve control of cranes, lifting
equipment, fluid vessel tip angles, camera platforms, pipe laying
machinery and structural stability of construction sites.

[10] Precision in dosing and blending chemicals and oils
For high accuracy flowmetering of viscous chemicals, with good
corrosion resistance, simple installation and wide flow range ability,
Titan offers their OG range of "Oval Gear" flowmeters. Widely used as
an economical approach to precision blending and dosing of oils, or in
water treatment systems, units are available in stainless steel,
Hastelloy or PEEK. Flow ranges covered are from below 0.1 to 500LPM,
at better than 1% accuracy, tolerating high pressures and temperatures
and varying viscosity. Ask Titan to quote for your next oil or
chemical metering requirement.
