A Teacher's Guide to the Holocaust
The Holocaust, by its very nature, is a very sensitive and challenging
subject to teach to students. This site, produced by the Florida Center
for Instructional Technology at the University of South Florida, acts as a
guide for teachers to use when teaching this difficult topic to students of
different ages.
The website is divided into several sections, including "Timeline",
"People", and "The Arts", and is essentially an overview of the people and
events related to the Holocaust Period. Visitors will find photographs,
documents, music, movies, literature, and art from this painful period in
human history, as well as guidelines for teaching and studying that are in
cooperation with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Stupid Security
While we all want to have strong homeland security at our airports and
throughout our country, some of the measures regularly taken seem to be
more beaurocratic than preventative. StupidSecurity.Com is a quirky site
that pokes fun at places where security is being provided in a "needless or
counterproductive" manner.
Read the recent posts, which are random stories of stupid security acts,
and then browse the site's archives. Scroll through Stupid Security's
discussions, journals, topics, and RSS feeds to learn more about how "false
security" is preventing real safety measures from being put into place to
protect our country and its citizens from potential threats.

(a map of supereruptions that have occurred throughout history), "A
Supersized Volcano", and the "Next Big One" (a preview of what a modern
supereruption would look like today). Be sure to check out a preview of
the show, which features researchers exploring myriad from Greenland to
Indonesia, attempting to unearth clues to the greatest volcanic eruption of
the past one hundred centuries.
