See the link below to share some of your favorite kitchen tips. - Carol
from Philadelphia says: "When you bring fresh mushrooms home from the store,
remove them from the plastic and put them into a paper bag. Fold the top closed
and the mushrooms will last a week. Even if they dry up a little, they are still
good for cooking."
- Ruth from NM writes:
"To check if your oil is hot enough for cooking, insert the bottom of a wooden
spoon, if bubbles form around it, your oil is ready."
- Jeanne
from Port Republic, MD says : "I buy ground beef in bulk and prepare for
several meals in advance. I cook 5 or 6 lbs at a time and drain. I add taco seasoning,
sloppy Joe sauce, and leave some plain and freeze in vacuum sealer bags. I also
add seasoning to the ground beef before I shape into patties and freeze. Saves
lots of time and mess camping and on nights when time is short."
- Lisa
from Olympia, WA suggests: "Heating milk? Rinse your pan with cold water
first, then pour in milk and heat. No milk scum to clean up afterwards!"
- Ant
problem in your kitchen? Find out where they are coming for and block there entrance
with a line of lemon juice. Safe to use if you have small kids or animals in the
house.
