***,

The Jets drafted Brad Smith to play wide receiver. The rookie
used the preseason finale to show off his versatility by helping
to rally the Jets from a 17-0 halftime deficit to a 20-17 win
over the Eagles. Smith lined up at quarterback, running back
and wide receiver, completing 2 of 4 passes for 13 yards, catching
one pass for 37 yards and running four times for 31 yards. "He
gives us some position flexibility there [at QB]. I thought
he did a nice job." The Jets wrapped up the preseason with a
2-2 mark and face Tennessee on Sunday. 2006 Season Preview.
