I've just returned from the BuRP Rally at Maggie Valley, NC and I blogged my observations each day while there. Here's an article that gives all eight entries so you can read the entire blog... 2) Speed Bumps
"Just curious - what is the tactic for crossing speed bumps? I was driving in my car home to my apartment and realized that i have a giant hill with speed bumps that go across the entire entrance road. Figure i'd need to learn how to handle that but didn't know if they teach that in the MSF course." -- ssendam

3) First Place?
"As y'all know 3 weeks ago I purchased a FLHXI 2006 Street Glide. It is Cobalt. I put the Sundowner seat, removable backrest, chrome passenger grab rails on it for better comfort and I put US Navy Derby Covers on the Crankcase and Air Cleaner. This Saturday, July 1, I went up to #1 Cycle Center H.D. State College in Centre Hall, Pa for their Iron Thunder in the Mountain Car and Bike Show. This is the dealership where I purchased my bike. I went down to the show and entered my bike in the people's choice bike show. There were different divisions so I was in the touring division. There were a few Ultras and Electric Glides there but they pulled out. In the end I wound up taking home first place and got a little trophy for it. My neighbor told me that I would never win because I don't have the fancy paint job, a lot of extra chrome, Screaming Eagle Parts and other extras on it. But the one thing that sat mine apart from others was the US Navy Derby Covers. People did ask if I was in the Navy so I showed them my retired ID Card. Then most of the people said that they will vote for someone who served in the Military." -- MeanJoe
