While Mike's been sweating, ed-in-chief Rich Greenhill has been recovering from the chaos of E3 with a trip down memory *** to Star Control II, a classic PC space combat and exploration game.
You probably can't get much further from today's graphically intensive action spectaculars than this, but it's a fantastic game and might just be in the running for an updated sequel.
