Game Notes: Bulls at Atlanta Hawks; Food Drive on March 18

Chicago posted a 111-99 home win over Atlanta on Jan. 28
Hello ***,
The Chicago Bulls will try to get out of their funk and not lose
more ground on a playoff spot when they
visit the Atlanta Hawks on
Saturday (6:00 p.m. CT | WGN Superstation/ESPN Radio 1000).
The Bulls (27-35) have dropped six of their last nine games,
including Friday's 107-96 home defeat against the Los Angeles
Clippers that left them 3 1/2 games behind Milwaukee and Philadelphia
for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Kirk Hinrich led six Chicago players in double figures with 21
points, but the point guard also committed five turnovers while
handing out just two assists.
Luol Deng collected 17 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for
the Bulls, who are just one game better at home (14-17) than on the
road (13-18).
The Hawks have been idle since Tuesday's 113-106 home victory
over Golden State. It was Atlanta's third triumph in five games and
the team's 20th win of the campaign after claiming just 18 contests
last season.
Joe Johnson, who received his Team USA jersey before the game,
scored a career-high 42 points. Johnson is one of 23 players who will
get a shot to be on America's roster for this year's World
Championship and the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Chicago posted a 111-99 home win over Atlanta on Jan. 28 in the
only meeting of the season between the clubs.
