Last week, anti-choice activists celebrated when
the South Dakota legislature passed a law outlawing virtually
all abortions, even in cases of rape or incest. South Dakota's
anti-choice governor may sign the bill into law this week,
setting off a chain of events that could take this issue
directly to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Make no mistake — this ban is part of a larger
plan by hardline extremists to eliminate the right to abortion
in the United States. It is up to pro-choice Americans like you
to get the word out. This ban, the most restrictive law in the
country, would prevent all South Dakota women from getting an
abortion — even in the case of rape or incest —
unless their lives were in danger. Let your local editor know:
the American public supports a woman's right to choose.
