New Book Releases

==================================================================

Dear Reader,

In the world of technology, with its often lightning-speed evolutions,
sometimes you just can't wait for the newest book to come out. Take,
for example, a hot technology like Ajax or Ruby on Rails. Having access
to information on these technologies--particularly in-depth, book-length
content--could place you squarely on the cutting edge.

In that pioneer spirit, earlier this week, O'Reilly's Safari Books Online
debuted the beta version of an exciting new service called Rough Cuts.
Rough Cuts gives you early access to content on cutting-edge technologies--
before it's published. It literally lets you read the book *as* it's being
written. Rough Cuts titles truly do live up to their name; they have yet to
be edited, formatted, and tech reviewed, but the fresh content is there for
you to use.

When you buy a Rough Cuts book, you get access to an evolving PDF, complete
with updates as they happen. You can download, print, or access the content
online. What's more, you can actually help shape the final product by sending
suggestions and bug fixes directly to the author and editors.

The first four titles released are Ajax Hacks, Flickr Hacks, Ruby on Rails:
Up and Running, and Ruby Cookbook. Check them all out, along with more
information on the program, online:

As always, thanks for reading.

Until next week,
Goli Mohammadi
