Alito's nomination — Judge Alito is wrong for America.
- He has written that "the Constitution does not protect a
right to an abortion."
- While working for the Reagan administration, he developed
strategies for gutting, and eventually overturning, Roe v.
Wade.
- He is supported by anti-choice groups all over the
country.

Today is the day.
Earlier this week, we told you much of what this movement has
fought for in the 33 years since Roe v. Wade was
decided comes down to the next few days. Thanks to your calls
and letters this week, senators have continued the fight over
Alito with renewed vigor. We now have a chance to win.
 This is the last chance to stop Alito's
confirmation — send a note to your senator
now!
It all comes down to
now. Senators will vote Monday on
whether or not to end debate on Samuel Alito's confirmation to
the US Supreme Court. Alito's extreme views — in
particular, his stated opposition to the constitutional right to
an abortion — would tip the balance of the Supreme Court
and put our health and safety at risk. We must do everything we
can to stop Alito's confirmation. Right now that means flooding
Senate offices with letters, calls, and faxes urging senators to
do everything they can to oppose the confirmation of Alito.
Senators will be making up their minds in the days and
hours until the moment of the vote, and your letters can truly
make a difference. Tell your senators Alito is outside the
mainstream — and wrong for America.
