BBC FOOTBALL PRESENTER MANISH BHASIN
Unlike several Premiership managers, I for one can't wait for the 25th African Cup of Nations.
Not only will 16 teams compete for the prestigious crown of 'King of the Continent' but it will provide the new generation of African nations - Togo, Angola, Ghana and Ivory Coast - the perfect chance to prepare for their first World Cup appearance in Germany.
Interest in this year's tournament is expected to be bigger than ever both at home and abroad.
A total of 29 players who all ply their trade in the UK will be taking part (compared to 74 from France), not to mention officially the third best player in the world in Samuel Eto'o of Barcelona and Cameroon.
Worldwide TV audiences could reach up to a staggering 3.9 billion.
You can follow the three-week long tournament on BBC THREE from 1900 GMT every night with myself and Adrian Chiles as we embark on our first African Cup of Nations experience.
And don't forget our dedicated website for all the latest news and reports.
I hope you'll enjoy the competition as much as we will.
