Bahamas' Island of the Month Contest
|
Enter To Win One of These Cool Trips!
You could be on your way to exploring the diversity of the islands of the Bahamas when you enter the Bahamas' Island of the Month challenge.
Contest prizes include a three-night Bimini Undersea dive package, a two-day Stuart Cove's Shark Feeder training program, or a weeklong Blackbeard's live-aboard excursion. Visit the contest page for more prize details.
This Month's Island is Grand Bahama
Whether you are an avid diver, fisherman, golfer, gambler, shopper, night-clubber or beach lover—or a combination of all these—Grand Bahama Island may well be the perfect destination for you! Grand Bahama is the fourth largest island in The Bahamas, after Andros, Eleuthera and Great Abaco, and the second most popular tourist island, after New Providence. Lying only 55 miles due east of Palm Beach, Fla., and a 30-minute flight from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale or Palm Beach, Grand Bahama is easy and accessible for short-term visits. More bustling than the Out Islands, more relaxed than Nassau, Grand Bahama achieves a perfect compromise between an energy-driven and a lazy-day vacation.

Attention Dry Suit Owners:
ScubaDiving.com wants to know which manufacturer made your dry suit, and all it requires from you are a few simple clicks. Midway down the home page, ScubaDiving.com, you'll see "Scuba Poll," a tool that lets readers voice opinions on many topics, and currently we want to know what type of dry suit is in your closet. You'll find the results from previous polls here too, such as "Have you ever borrowed dive gear from a friend?" and "What is your favorite section of ScubaDiving.com?" This is just one more bonus on a web site chock-full of scuba information.

Scubapro Serializes Twin Jet Fins
Effective immediately, all new Scubapro Twin Jet Fins will incorporate a serial number molded into both fins of every pair. The purpose is to help customers facilitate potential claims made under the Scubapro Limited Lifetime Warranty on Twin Jet Fins, buckles and straps. Scubapro will include a limited lifetime warranty card with each pair of Twin Jet adjustable open-heel and full-foot fins. Any existing Scubapro Twin Jet Fins that do not bear serial numbers are still 100 percent covered by the limited lifetime warranty, assuming proof of purchase is provided with claim. Equally important, any Scubapro Twin Jet Fin bearing a serial number that has been defaced or destroyed will not be covered by the warranty. For more information, visit www.scubapro.com.

DAN Tip of the Month
Even though winter is in full swing, there are many ways to take advantage of the season-long surface interval. Keep your skills sharp with a refresher course, or increase your knowledge with a continuing education course such as First Aid, Equipment Maintenance or any DAN training program. Avoid the spring rush and get your gear serviced now, or head to the gym to keep that New Year's resolution AND increase your dive fitness! You'll likely find that the time will fly and you'll be back in the water before you know it. For more from the dive safety experts, visit www.diversalertnetwork.org.
