Game Notes: Bulls vs. Suns | 6:00 p.m.
Chicago plays the first of three straight at the United Center
Hello ***,
The Bulls will try to stop the Suns from winning for the 15th
time in 20 contests when the teams meet tonight for their
first encounter of the season
(6:00 p.m. CT | WGN Superstation/ESPN Radio 1000).
Lately, scoring has been a problem for the Bulls (12-16), who
have lost five straight and have reached 100 points only once during
that stretch.
Luol Deng scored 18 points and Darius Songaila added 12 off the
bench for Chicago in Wednesday's 93-80 loss to the Bobcats.
Since losing five of their first nine games, the Suns (18-10)
have been among the best teams in the league.
The Suns showed Friday why they are one of the most balanced
squads in the NBA. Four players had double-doubles in a 110-100
victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. Leading scorer Eddie House scored
26 points off the bench.
Steve Nash scored 24 with 13 assists and Shawn Marion had 24 and
13 rebounds. After leading the league in scoring last season (110.4),
Phoenix has reached the century mark in six of its last seven games
despite playing without Amare Stoudamire, who is recovering from knee
surgery.
Phoenix has won nine of the last 12 meetings against Chicago but
has dropped three of four in Chicago.
